A post-doctoral research position in the field of spintronics and magnetic materials is available in the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Nottingham. The project will involve a collaboration between experimental and theoretical condensed matter physics research groups to investigate the dynamics of periodically driven magnetic systems.

The researcher is expected to actively contribute to the design and implementation of experiments to explore the spatial and time resolved behaviour of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic thin films and nanostructures. We seek a motivated, skilled and highly independent researcher to complement our team. Good oral and written communication skills, and good understanding and experience of experimental condensed matter physics research, are essential for this role. The applicant should have, or expect to soon obtain, a PhD in Physics or a related area.

This role is available on a fixed term contract until 30/09/2024. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
