Post Doc in the area of microfabrication and microfluidics

YOUR TEAM

You’d be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where biomedical, materials, chemical engineers, chemists, biotechnologists and biologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.

The Bio-Logic Materials Research line is coordinated by Prof. Paolo Netti, who has extensive experience in the bioengineering sector.

The research focuses on the design, microfabrication and use of high throughput close loop microfluidic devices for cell conditioning by microenvironment cues.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Design and fabrication of high throughput microfluidic devices for cell conditioning
• Develop a close loop set up to real time tune conditioning parameters

 WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE

• A PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related disciplines
• Documented experience on
  • design of layouts
  • microfabrication techniques
  • use of optical microscopes to operate with the microfluidic devices
• Experience on close loop logics implemented to microfluidic devices
• The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
• Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
• Good command in spoken and written English

EXTRA AWESOME

• It is highly wished an experience on Micromilling, 2D Laser Lithography, Reactive Ion Etching, Chemical and/or Physical Surface Treatments
• Knowledge of Characterization Techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy, Profiler.
• Good communication skills
• Strong problem solving attitude
• High motivation to learn

• Good in time and priority management
• Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
