Eligibility Criteria for President Scholarships China 2020-2021:

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to avail of this Scholarship for their study at LUT Under President Scholarships China.

  1. Applicants Must be Non-Chinese Citizens.
  2. Applicants should be in healthy physical condition.
  3. Applicants must be a high school graduate and under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs.
  4. Applicants for Master’s degree studies must have a Bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
  5. Applicants for Doctoral degree studies must have a Master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
  6. Excellent achievement in your study.
  7. Comparative good ability in research.
  8. Applicants do not gain any other scholarships.

Academic Requirements:

  1. Bachelors Students:
    1. Applicants with a high school degree are eligible to apply for Bachelors’s Degree programs.
  2. Masters Students:
    1. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for Master’s Degree programs.
  3. Ph.D. Students:

  4. Two recommendation letters
    • The letters of recommendation must be written by the applicant’s teachers/advisors/employers (who are able to evaluate your academic performance and research potential) in either English.
  5. A study or research plan in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words).
  6. Published academic papers and academic achievements (not compulsory).
  7. Language Proficiency: Applicants can apply for President Scholarship with an HSK 4 with no less than 200 scores. (Those who failed to meet Chinese language requirements are suggested to attend a one-year Chinese language program on a self-funded basis at LUT. Once proved to be qualified in Chinese language proficiency and annual academic review, he/she will be preferably considered for the scholarship.)
  8. Passport Scan (if available at the time of application)
  9. Digital ID photo with white background
  10. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form filled in English.
