Klaus Liebscher Award The Oesterreichische National Bank (OeNB) Prize for Economic Research is the new name for Austria’s Office of Economic Research and Exchange. Scholarship Benefits

• Each scholarship in the case of management consulting receives a consultation fee. For the duration of the scholarship, the tank net scholarship cannot be worth more than EUR 10,000. This price will pay for all OeNB scholarship perks.
• Consulting fees will rise at a realistic Dell charge rate (like the present 20%) if management can afford to pay more.
• During the counselling session, scholarship recipients are responsible for their comfort. Of course, OENB assists the recipient in locating the facility in Vienna.

Guidelines for Awarding

Up to three scholarships are given away annually by the Oesterreichische National Bank (hereinafter referred to as the OeNB) as part of the “Klaus Liebscher Economic Research Scholarship” program (hence referred to as the Scholarship or Scholarships). The Scholarship Program was created to enable exceptional researchers to contribute their knowledge to the wide array of research projects carried out by the OeNB’s Economic Analysis and Research Department. The form of this donation shall be consulting services.

The Scholarship program targets experts from Austria and abroad who have a track record of economics and finance research, as well as postdoctoral research experience, and who are currently employed by an Austrian or non-Austrian research institution. These experts should be interested in advancing international research mobility, broadening their research experience, and developing their individual research networks.

Scope Of The Scholarships

• The Scholarships are awarded for research work toward the goals described under “Purpose of
• the Klaus Liebscher Economic Research Scholarship.” Recipients of Scholarships shall use their
• expertise to participate in the Economic Analysis and Research Department’s research activities
• for an agreed period.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students for the scholarship must be PhD-eligible or possess an equivalent degree, as well as have published papers and performed scientific research on the topics specified in the call for scholarship applications. There is no restriction on the nationality or age of applicants.
• Human-person applications alone will be considered. Under the Klaus Liebscher Economic Research Scholarship program, more than one scholarship cannot be requested.
• Suitable applicants must be well-integrated members of their research community and be recognized as subject matter experts with a track record in economic research.
• Students must show evidence of current employment with a research institution both at the time of their application and throughout the Scholarship.

• Written confirmation by the home institution that the Scholarship, i.e. the provision of
  consultancy services by the applicant is not in violation of the applicant’s employment
  contract with the home institution.
