About the role

This is a key role in the newly formed Education Services team (Digital and Learning Innovation). The Service will provide an expert environment in which education design, delivery, and continuous improvement enables delivery of the University’s research-inspired Education Strategy. It will bring together quality assurance and enhancement and place equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of our approach.

In this role, you will provide advice and guidance to academic staff in the effective use of learning technologies and digital tools, including designing the delivering both 1-2-1 and group training sessions, acting as first-line support for any enquiries and creating support materials.

You will lead on the creation of digital learning objects and resources, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity and design and deployment.

Most importantly, you will be an advocate for the appropriate use of learning technologies to support the design of inclusive programmes that give all our students the opportunity to succeed, whatever their background.About you

We are looking for a proactive individual, enthusiastic about improving the student learning experience and identifying opportunities to support and enhance our digital learning environment. You must be experienced in authoring training materials, creating digital learning objectives, using online learning environments and web editing.

Comprehensive knowledge of the key digital support needs of academic staff is essential, as is experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training, both face-to-face and online.

Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills are key to succeed in this role, able to manage your own workload to meet service objectives and meet customer needs.Additional information
